There are three Speak Out Self Advocacy groups in Tasmania. They are:
- Speak Out North West Self Advocacy Group
- Speak Out North Self Advocacy Group
- Speak Out South Self Advocacy Group
Speak Out Self Advocacy Groups are run by and for people with a disability that interferes with their learning or communication.

Everyone is welcome
We can make a difference in our own life and in each other’s lives.
Our groups are in accessible places and they are accessible for people with vision impairments and hearing impairments.

Self Advocacy Matters
Self advocacy matters because:
- we want to be heard
- we have a voice
- it helps you be safe and not be taken advantage of
- you need to know your rights so you can exercise them
- everyone should be listened to and respected
- it’s important to help people stand up for themselves
- you have your say in your community work/school/home
- you can get the help you want, when you want and need it
- you learn about your rights so you can teach others what you know and build their skills
